The Apollo Theatre was the city's premier concert venue from 1973 to 1985. An endless list of famous bands played here, including AC/DC. The band recorded their first live album "If You Want Blood" right here on April 30th 1978. The building was then demolished in 1987 following a fire. Now in its place a Cineworld cinema.
