Tushino Airfield

On September 28th 1991 Tushino Airfield was the location of the first ever open-air rock concert in the dissoluting USSR. AC/DC played as headliners in front of an unofficial crowd of 1.6 million people. Metallica, Pantera, The Black Crowes, E.S.T. were also on the bill. The event was filmed to appear later on the video "For Those About To Rock We Salute You: Monsters in Moscow". The Spartak Stadium (home of FC Spartak Moscow) was built on the site in October 2010.
